Accepted but carrier approval is required: in Tianjin Airlines' dangerous-goods table all three electric-wheelchair rows (lithium-battery, sealed wet / dry / NiMH battery, and non-sealed spillable battery) are marked 承运人批准 ✓ (carrier approval) and 通知机长 ✓ (captain must be notified). You must also bring the wheelchair's instruction manual and check it in at least 60 minutes before check-in opens.

电动轮椅（锂电池驱动）: accepted with carrier approval and captain notification. The battery must be a type meeting UN Manual of Tests and Criteria Part III, 38.3. Removed and spare lithium batteries must travel in the cabin, insulated and protected (e.g. each in a protective bag).

"按照制造商的说明书拆下，从助行器上拆下的每块电池不得超过 300 Wh" — where the battery is removed per the manufacturer's instructions, each battery removed from the mobility aid must not exceed 300 Wh, and it travels in the cabin.

Maximum two: one spare lithium-ion battery up to 300 Wh, or two spares of not more than 160 Wh each, carried in the cabin, insulated and damage-protected. For sealed-wet / dry / NiMH chairs the allowance is instead one A67 sealed wet battery, or two A123 dry cells or A199 NiMH batteries.

The battery may stay in the chair if the aid's design gives adequate protection, the battery is firmly attached and the circuit is disconnected per the manufacturer's instructions; otherwise it must be removed per those instructions. Note the general 160 Wh ban on lithium batteries in baggage expressly does not apply here: "额定能量超过160Wh的...锂电池（电动轮椅使用的锂电池另有规定）".

电动轮椅（密封型湿电池、干电池或镍氢电池驱动）: accepted as checked baggage with carrier approval and captain notification; not permitted in the cabin. Batteries must meet Special Provision A67 (sealed wet), A123 (dry cell) or A199 (NiMH), with terminals short-circuit protected and the battery either securely fixed to the aid with the circuit disconnected, or removed per the manufacturer's instructions.

电动轮椅（非密封型电池驱动）: accepted as checked baggage with carrier approval and captain notification; never in the cabin. The aid must be loaded, stowed and secured upright; if that is impossible, or the aid does not protect the battery, the battery must be removed, packed leak-proof in strong rigid packaging, short-circuit-protected, secured upright with absorbent material, and labelled "轮椅用电池，湿的" (battery, wet, with wheelchair) plus corrosive and package-orientation labels.

"电池两极已做防短路保护，如封入电池容器"; the aid must be immobilised with straps, ropes or other fixings that protect the aid, battery, wiring and controller from being damaged by shifting baggage or cargo. Removed and spare batteries must be insulated and damage-protected, each in a protective bag, and carried in the cabin.

"如果携带电动轮椅，请携带电动轮椅的说明书，至少在航班开始办理乘机手续 60 分钟前到值机柜台办理交运." For batteries in non-PED devices such as electric wheelchairs the battery body should show the manufacturer's details; if it does not, the equipment maker (e.g. the wheelchair manufacturer) may supply a compliance certificate. Unmarked, mislabelled, damaged, swollen, deformed or leaking batteries are banned outright.

Passengers who cannot move at all (WCHC) must apply at a Tianjin Airlines ticket office in the departure city at least 24 hours before the flight and be approved by the airline. WCHR/WCHS passengers may book at any time via a ticket office, an authorised agent or 95350. An electric wheelchair must be presented for check-in at least 60 minutes before check-in opens for the flight.

"如果仅是在机场地面和上下飞机时需要轮椅（WCHR、WCHS）的旅客，可在天津航空直属售票处、经授权的代理售票处及天津航空95350直接购票，并填写《特殊旅客乘机申请书》". WCHC passengers apply in person at the departure-city ticket office and the airline helps them complete the form once approved.

Domestic conditions of carriage art. 100: liability applies unless the loss is caused by force majeure, the nature or defect of the baggage, fair wear, or the passenger's own fault; if the actual value is lower than the cap, the actual value is paid; if the weight of the damaged item cannot be determined, compensation is calculated on the passenger's free baggage allowance.
