There is no disability-specific desk: the general Call Centre and info@lionairthai.com are the channels Thai Lion Air itself names for special assistance and medical clearance. lionairthai.com is behind a hard Cloudflare block (HTTP 403 to every route tried, including the Internet Archive's own crawler since March 2026), so all of the above is transcribed from archive snapshots of the airline's own pages.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
The same blanket clause covers powered chairs: "The Carrier will not refuse to carry passenger wheelchairs or other disability-assistive devices, unless such carriage would be inconsistent with safety or safety requirements." But Thai Lion Air publishes NO rules of any kind for wheelchair batteries — confirm handling with the airline before flying with a power chair.

Not published. The Baggage Allowance page lists the nine dangerous-goods classes but gives no lithium battery or mobility-aid rules.
Not published; no watt-hour figure appears anywhere on Thai Lion Air's pages.

Not published.
Not published — the airline does not say whether a wheelchair battery must be removed and carried in the cabin.
Not published; gel / AGM / sealed lead-acid / dry-cell wheelchair batteries are never mentioned.
Not published. Thai Lion Air's accessible pages and baggage/dangerous-goods pages say nothing about spillable wheelchair batteries.
Not published.
No battery documentation requirement is published. The only information Thai Lion Air asks for is the chair's dimensions and weight at booking.
Not published; measurements must be declared at booking instead.
Same threshold as for a manual chair: over 32 kg (71 lb) needs special authorisation from Thai Lion Air because of weight and space restrictions at some airports.

Returned at the baggage hall of the destination airport, not at the aircraft door.

Manual wheelchairs
Carriage is not automatic: a request made at booking "will be confirmed after the passenger has completed the booking procedures ... and has been considered by the airline based on the transportation regulations", and where a wheelchair is requested at the airport Thai Lion Air says it is "necessary to check and confirm with the passenger whether they can accept you as a passenger".

Thai Lion Air does not say whether a folding manual chair may be stowed in the cabin.
Not published.
No maximum wheelchair dimensions are published; Thai Lion Air instead requires the chair's measurements to be declared at booking so it can arrange hold loading. (The general 81 x 119 x 119 cm checked-item limit in the Terms and Conditions is a baggage rule, and the same clause exempts mobility equipment from its weight limit.)
"If your wheelchair weighs over 32 kilograms (71 lbs.), special authorization from Thai Lion Air is needed, due to weight and space restrictions at some airports." Above 32 kg is therefore an approval threshold rather than an outright refusal.

"...to load your wheelchair into the aircraft hold, and return it to you at the baggage hall of your destination airport." Thai Lion Air returns the chair at the baggage hall, not at the aircraft door.

Thai Lion Air disclaims liability for the special service itself: "the airline is not responsible for the loss. Any wrong doing, including any damages that occur due to the inability to provide this special service." It also "reserves the right to provide special services to passengers".
Booking & cost
"Passengers with mobility disabilities and requesting special services must notify the airline or call center of the airline at least 48 hours before departure to prepare equipment on request." Without notice Thai Lion Air will only "try to allocate the service ... depending on the special service that can be provided or not at that time".

"If a passenger has his/her own wheelchair, the size of personal wheelchair measurements and weight must be informed when booking, to enable us to make the necessary arrangements."

"In addition to the regular free baggage allowance, the Carrier will accept such passenger wheelchairs or other disability-assistive devices as priority checked baggage without charge." Separately the Special Assistance page warns that "some of the special assistance services may be subjected to a fee" — that wording is about assistance services, not about carrying the aid.

Thai Lion Air does not publish a number of mobility devices carried free per passenger.
No mobility-aid damage liability rule is published. The wheelchair page only disclaims liability around airport wheelchair service: "the airline is not responsible for the loss. Any wrong doing, including any damages that occur due to the inability to provide this special service."

On board
Thai Lion Air does not publish whether an on-board aisle chair is available.
Not published.
No transfer/lifting service is described. The airline says it is "open to making special arrangements" such as "wheelchair-friendly services" and that more critical cases may need medical clearance; the Terms and Conditions add that it may require a passenger with a disability to travel with their own assistant where that is essential for safety or the passenger could not self-evacuate.
Special Assistance page: "we are open to making special arrangements to ease their journey, such as allocated front seating and wheelchair-friendly services". Terms and Conditions: "Passengers with a disability will not be permitted to occupy seats in emergency exit rows or in over-wing emergency exit rows... the airline will provide seating for passengers who need special assistance, as appropriate. And reserves the right to change or move to a new seat on its sole discretion."

Fleet detail. Personal wheelchairs travel in the aircraft hold and are returned at the destination baggage hall. Chairs over 32 kg (71 lb) need special authorization "due to weight and space restrictions at some airports".
Worth knowing
Re-checked 29 July 2026. lionairthai.com is behind a hard Cloudflare block: every route retried that day (direct fetch, r.jina.ai reader proxy with 25 s client-side rendering, www and bare host, /en/ and /th/, booking./book./m./checkin. subdomains) returned HTTP 403 or did not resolve, and the Internet Archive's own crawler has been getting 403 on the site since roughly March 2026. Every fact here is therefore taken from Internet Archive snapshots of Thai Lion Air's own pages, with the snapshot date recorded in each source title — the newest readable capture in each case. The dedicated wheelchair page was re-verified against a newer capture (31 December 2025, replacing the 13 May 2024 one): the wording is word-for-word unchanged, so the 48-hour notice rule, the 32 kg approval threshold and the baggage-hall (not aircraft-door) return were all still published at the end of 2025. The gap that matters most: Thai Lion Air publishes nothing whatsoever about wheelchair batteries (spillable, non-spillable or lithium), no watt-hour limits, no removal or terminal-protection instructions and no spare-battery allowance. A power-chair user has no published rule to rely on and must get written confirmation from the Call Centre. Two further points a human should note: (1) the airline returns the chair at the destination baggage hall, not the aircraft door; (2) the dedicated wheelchair page (snapshot 31 Dec 2025) says chairs over 32 kg need special authorization, while the Terms and Conditions (snapshot 24 Feb 2026) say the 32 kg per-item baggage limit "does not apply to mobility equipment" — the two are reconcilable but should be re-checked directly with the airline. 2026-07-30: the live wheelchair page was supplied by a human, replacing what had been an archive-only record. It publishes a 32 kg approval threshold and confirms baggage-hall (not gate) return, but still says nothing about battery chemistry, watt-hours or chair dimensions.
