Syrianair

IATA RB ICAO SYR Syrian Arab Republic · syrian-airlines.net (opens in a new tab)

Publishes assistance information but no mobility-aid carriage detail.

Fragments only. Syrianair publishes some assistance information but not a full mobility-aid policy. What is below is everything it actually states. Everything marked “not published” genuinely is — confirm it with the airline rather than assuming the international baseline applies.

Who to contact

Transcribed from the airline’s own pages, exactly as it labels them.

Syrianair has no accessibility or special-assistance page, no disability desk and no assistance form. The only published reference is a single bullet on the services page; anything specific has to be asked of the 24/7 customer service line or a sales office. www.syriaair.com redirects to syrian-airlines.net.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries

The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.

Worth knowing

Syrianair relaunched on a new site (syrian-airlines.net; www.syriaair.com redirects to it) whose Terms & Conditions are eight one-line clauses and whose FAQ covers only the mobile app, payment and baggage weight. The single accessibility reference on the whole site is a bullet under Our Services: "Special Services: Facilities for Passengers with Special Needs." No advance-notice deadline, no fee statement, no battery or dangerous-goods rules, no aisle-chair or seating information is published, and the airline's previous WordPress site (syriaair.com) had none either. The site is a JavaScript app whose routes 404 on direct fetch, so pages were read through the rendering proxy. Everything about a wheelchair on RB must be agreed in writing with Passenger Care before travel.
