The number and address above are the general reservations channel that the Special Needs page names as the route for assistance requests; that page is now published only in French, at /fr/information/prepare-to-fly/special-needs/, its English URL having been withdrawn. Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
RwandAir has no dedicated powered-wheelchair page. The baggage page carries "wheelchairs or other assistive devices" free without excluding powered ones, and tells passengers to "share detailed information about their wheelchair/mobility aid and batteries with our staff before traveling" so staff can "take necessary safety precautions" — the only published reference to battery-powered aids.

THE 404 CLAIM WAS RE-TESTED AND HOLDS. On 2026-07-29 https://www.rwandair.com/information/prepare-to-fly/special-needs-assistance/ returned HTTP 404 to a plain browser-UA request and to the reader proxy with --render 25 (WordPress serves its whole site map as the 404 body, which is why an earlier pass could mistake it for a real page); the CDX index confirms the last HTTP 200 capture is exactly the 2024-10-15 one previously cited, with every capture from 2025-12-15 onward returning 404. The page's content is nevertheless LIVE: RwandAir kept it under the French URL path, at https://www.rwandair.com/fr/information/prepare-to-fly/special-needs/ (HTTP 200, checked 2026-07-29), as a word-for-word French translation of the withdrawn English text — same reservations@rwandair.com / +250 788 177 000 contact route, same mobility-assistance paragraph, same "Les installations d'oxygène ne sont pas disponibles dans nos avions. Nous ne fournissons pas non plus de services de civières à bord" (no oxygen, no stretchers). That live French page has therefore replaced the 2024 Wayback snapshot as source s4, and no figure in this record changed as a result. Note for RwandAir: the English homepage still links to the dead English URL. Neither version contains any wheelchair-specific carriage, dimension or battery rule. The only mobility-aid policy RwandAir currently publishes is one paragraph on the baggage-allowance page (free carriage; tell staff about your chair and batteries) and one line on the medical-information page (ambulifts in select cities only, manual lifting elsewhere). Two hard constraints a traveller must know: passengers who are not self-reliant in flight must buy a seat for a companion, and RwandAir provides no oxygen and no stretcher service on board (2024 snapshot). No watt-hour figure appears anywhere on the site, including the restricted-items page.
