No dedicated accessibility or disability phone line is published; assistance is booked through the Call Center, callcentre@plusultra.com, the app, the form on the special-assistance page, or (in Spain) the Aena assistance line, whose number Plus Ultra does not print. The numbers listed above are the airline's own sales/airport offices.

3 of the unanswered fields below share one explanation: no watt-hour figure for mobility-aid batteries appears anywhere on plusultra.com. The rest carry their own.
Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Accepted in the hold only, and only on prior request: "Las sillas de ruedas mecánicas sólo se aceptarán al vuelo en bodega", and because of the preparation they need and their battery characteristics "es necesario presentar una solicitud de transporte con al menos 48 horas de antelación al vuelo". The Conditions of Carriage (art. 7.2.1) add that carriage of disabled passengers is subject to prior agreement with Plus Ultra.

Not published. Plus Ultra's special-assistance and special-baggage pages address only dry-cell and wet-cell wheelchair batteries; lithium-ion mobility-aid batteries are not mentioned anywhere. The "Información sobre el transporte de baterías" leaflet linked from the electronic-devices page is a scanned image with no extractable text.

Not published: Plus Ultra says nothing about spare wheelchair batteries.
Not as a rule: a dry-cell battery may stay installed if firmly secured to the chair; a wet-cell battery may also stay if the chair can be handled upright throughout. Only where that is impossible must the battery be removed and packed separately.

Dry-cell (non-spillable) battery chairs may be checked if the battery is firmly attached to the chair, disconnected and its terminals insulated. "Si los polos están aislados y el interruptor está en posición de apagado/off, no será necesario desconectarlos."

Chairs with spillable (wet-cell) batteries may be checked provided the chair can be loaded, stowed, secured and unloaded always in an upright position, the battery is disconnected, its terminals insulated against accidental short circuit and the battery firmly attached to the chair. If that is not possible the battery must be removed, wrapped in leak-proof, electrolyte-resistant material, protected against impact and carried upright in packaging with absorbent material, secured against short circuit.

Terminals must be insulated to prevent accidental short circuits. On wet-cell batteries the terminal connections must be removed and insulated; on dry cells disconnection is unnecessary if the poles are insulated and the switch is off.

No battery paperwork is required to be presented. A MEDIF medical information form is required only for passengers with medical-assistance needs, not for wheelchair users as such.

Not published for powered chairs.
Powered chairs are hold-only; the airline links the 48 h carriage request to battery preparation, so give the battery type when you book.
Manual wheelchairs
"Sillas manuales: en la mayoría de los aeropuertos podrá conservar su propia silla de ruedas hasta llegar al avión, donde será recogida para prepararla para el transporte." Manual chairs and analogous mobility devices are exempt from excess-baggage charges.

Booking & cost
"Los servicios de asistencia especial deberán ser reservados al menos 48 horas antes de la salida del vuelo" — special assistance must be booked at least 48 h before departure; electric wheelchairs need a carriage request at least 48 h ahead. You must also be at the check-in desk at least 2 h before check-in closes.

Worth knowing
Site is Spanish-only for these pages; details above are translated from the Spanish. Three things a wheelchair user should know that the fields cannot hold: (1) Plus Ultra publishes nothing at all about lithium-ion wheelchair batteries — only wet-cell and dry-cell — so a modern lithium power chair has no published rule and must be cleared with the Call Center; (2) on flights over 3 h 30 (all of Plus Ultra's long-haul network) a passenger who needs help with the lavatory, personal hygiene or eating must travel with a companion aged 18+ in the same cabin; (3) Conditions of Carriage art. 7.2.1 makes carriage of disabled passengers "subject to prior agreement", and art. 9(j) allows refusal if special assistance is requested at check-in or boarding without having been requested and confirmed beforehand. Stretcher passengers are not accepted at all. Plus Ultra also operates ACMI/charter services; this record covers its own scheduled flights.
