Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Mobility aids are exempt from Electra's ban on lithium battery-powered vehicles, but the prohibited-items list says “Please contact us at customersupport@electra-airways.com before you travel”, and the Conditions of Carriage make acceptance of a special-needs passenger subject to the carrier's prior approval. A wheelchair powered by batteries filled with corrosive substances is refused outright.

Manual wheelchairs
The wheelchair itself is carried free and outside the baggage allowance, but Electra states that for passengers with special needs “their acceptance for carriage may be subject to prior approval of the Carrier on the conditions of such transportation”. 48 h notice plus the chair's type, size and weight must be given.

Worth knowing
ACMI/wet-lease operator: Electra Airways describes itself as a “Charter, ACMI WET and DAMP lease-out” specialist flying 10 A320s and one A321 for tour operators, airlines and brokers. On wet-lease flights the CONTRACTING airline's policy is what a passenger should follow — Electra's own Conditions of Carriage say “if carriage is performed by another Carrier, the liability may be determined by the conditions of the Carrier operating the flight”, and special-assistance requests are to be made to the tour operator at the time of reservation. Electra nonetheless publishes a real PRM section (Conditions of Carriage §11) and a mobility-aid contact address, which is what this record captures. Two things a human should re-check: (1) the Conditions of Carriage PDF is the 2023 version still linked from the site — confirm it is current; (2) Electra publishes NO watt-hour limit for wheelchair batteries, and its 160 Wh loose-battery cap has deliberately not been read across to mobility aids.
