Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Never stated. Batik Air's only reference to a powered chair is a parenthetical exclusion: the free carry-to-the-aircraft-door wheelchair handling applies "(not a wheelchair with a battery)". The nearest thing to an acceptance test anywhere in the group's contract is §4.0's "The Carrier will not refuse to carry passenger wheelchairs or other disability-assistive devices, unless such carriage would be inconsistent with safety or safety requirements" — which never names a powered chair, a scooter or a battery. The words "electric", "powered" and "scooter" appear nowhere.

A wheelchair brought along but not used by the passenger loses its special-baggage status and counts against the free baggage allowance — the group Condition of Carriage says the same thing from the other direction, carrying the aid free only "provided that the passenger is dependent upon them". Passengers with special needs may not occupy emergency-exit seats. The group contract also lets the Carrier "require that a Passenger with a disability travels with his or her own Assistant if it is essential for safety or that Passenger is unable to assist in his or her evacuation of the aircraft or is unable to understand safety instructions", and to refuse or offload a passenger whose condition does not permit self-care unless accompanied by such an Assistant.

No hours-based deadline exists. At contract level the Lion Air Group Condition of Carriage §4.0, whose tables cover "Batik Air Indonesia (ID)", says a passenger with a disability "should inform the Carrier at the time of his or her booking" and that if they do not, "the Carrier will nevertheless use reasonable efforts to accommodate" them. Batik Air's own help centre gives no figure either. (Its one published medical deadline is 24 hours before departure, for in-flight oxygen.)
