The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.

Worth knowing

Arajet's usable detail lives in three places: the Special Assistance page, the Help Centre articles, and the 78-page Conditions of Carriage PDF (V01.9) whose art. 9.8 dangerous-goods table carries the only watt-hour figures. That table has a dedicated 'Lithium-Ion Batteries for Mobility Assistance Devices' row that explicitly removes the Wh cap for a housed battery that stays on the chair - a genuinely good outcome for power-chair users - while the 100 Wh footnote a few lines away belongs to the separate portable-electronic-devices row and has NOT been applied here. The 32 kg / 366 linear cm hold-baggage ceiling in art. 9.3.1 says 'Hold Baggage of any kind' but Arajet never says whether it is applied to wheelchairs, so no weight or size figure has been recorded. Arajet flies to the USA and points to the DOT Disabilities Bill of Rights, but publishes no Complaints Resolution Official.
