Electric wheelchairs are carried but "must always be checked in as hold baggage", require prior Air Serbia approval and 48 h notice with type, dimensions, weight, number of batteries and battery type. Air Serbia states two situations where it cannot carry the device: "if unintentional operation of the electric mobility device cannot be prevented" and "if the weight and size exceed the loading capacity of our smaller aircraft" — some flights are operated by ATR 72 regional aircraft "on which we may offer only limited services".

Lithium-ion powered mobility aids are listed among the types Air Serbia accepts, but only with prior carrier approval; the restricted-items table permits "collapsible movement aids charged by lithium-ion batteries" only "if the batteries are removed from the aid and with prior approval of the carrier".

Required where the design allows it: "Where a battery-powered wheelchair or mobility aid is specifically designed to allow its battery to be removed by the user (e.g. collapsible), the battery must be removed." Removed lithium batteries travel in the cabin; removed non-spillable batteries travel in rigid packaging in the cargo compartment.

Dry-cell and non-spillable (sealed) wet-cell wheelchairs are accepted as checked baggage "with prior approval of the carrier". Where the design allows the battery to be removed, "the battery must be removed… placed in strong, rigid packaging which must be carried in the cargo compartment" and protected from short circuit; the pilot in command is told where it is.

"We cannot accept wet cell battery wheelchairs or other mobility aids on our flights (WCBW)." The restricted-items table likewise refuses "batteries whose contents can leak and devices charged by these batteries" in both cabin and checked baggage.

"The battery terminals must be protected from short circuit, e.g. by being enclosed within a battery container, the battery securely attached to the wheelchair or mobility aid and electrical circuits inhibited." The aid must also be secured against movement in the hold. Batteries must be off and of a type that cannot leak.

Air Serbia carries "a manual wheelchair and other mobility aids (WCMP)" free of charge as checked baggage, and up to two mobility aid items, but "The transport of your wheelchair or other mobility aids is subject to approval." Tell Air Serbia when you book and no later than 48 hours before the flight, stating the type of aid, its size, weight and battery type; check in two hours earlier. "Please notify us in advance (either at the time of booking or after, but at least 48 hours before the flight) that you wish to take a wheelchair or other mobility aids aboard" — transport "requires Air Serbia's prior approval". If you request less than 48 h ahead, Air Serbia "will still make every reasonable effort". Be at the airport at least 90 minutes before the last check-in time.

Our flight attendants are trained in the operation of this wheelchair and will assist you during boarding and disembarkation and with its use to and from the lavatory." On flights to/from the U.S. Air Serbia lists "transfer between on-board wheelchair and your seat" and "assistance in moving to and from an aircraft lavatory" among the services offered on board. Generally, though, "our cabin crew cannot carry or lift passengers, provide assistance in the toilet, assist with eating meals or manage the taking of medicines"; a personal flight assistant aged 16+ is required if you are not self-reliant.

"Most armrests on board our aircraft are movable so that you can access your seat easily." Air Serbia will seat you with a safety or personal attendant, but "for safety reasons we cannot offer you seats in exit rows".
