Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
"Non-collapsible wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, and power scooters are accepted as checked baggage… checked at the main check-in counter." But carriage of "ill persons, incapacitated persons…" is "subject to prior arrangement with us", undisclosed size and weight restrictions must be discussed at booking and again at check-in, and 48 h notice with dimensions, weight and battery type is required.
